Master class for colleagues from Oman
An interest in activity of JSC National Research Cardiac Surgery Center increases in the international scientific medical community more and more. The number of colleagues from the foreign countries, wishing to be trained in capital cardiac surgery clinic of Kazakhstan concerning implementation of innovative methods of surgical treatment of terminal chronic heart failure, grows.
Russia, the countries of Europe, Middle East and now the Arab countries became participants of the master classes given by JSC National Research Cardiac Surgery Center. From May 18 till May 20 of the current year specialists of JSC National Research Cardiac Surgery Center held the master class for colleagues from Sultan Qaboos University Hospital (Sultanate of Oman).
Foreign doctors studied the program of implantation of various modifications of Left Ventricular Assist Devices (LVAD) carried out in the center since 2011, as well as the organization and implementation of the program of donor heart transplantation.
There were demonstrated a series of operations, including a unique operation to implant LVAD - Heart Mate III to guests from Oman. The uniqueness of this surgery is that it is the first time in the world was held in JSC "National Research Cardiac Surgery Center." And they seen teamwork of performing complex operation of removal pump conducted JSC "National Research Cardiac Surgery Center" together with JSC "National Research Center of Oncology and Transplantation."
Foreign colleagues visited Nazarbayev University, examined the Center of Bioscience in more detail. Negotiations on cooperation with the Dean of Medical School were held. In the near future it is planned to enter exchange training into practice.
The guests were impressed by advanced equipment, highly skilled doctors and JSC National Scientific Cardiac Surgery Center as a whole.
It is noted that development of JSC National Research Cardiac Surgery Center goes up with a high speed, thereby increasing the level and the importance of medicine of Kazakhstan in the world.
